Windows Server 2008 R2 Evaluation - "Non Genuine" Error after only 14 days?
We have installed the evaluation version of Windows Server on a box and are currently in process of evaluating it. After only 14 days, we get prompted to activate each time we log in, and then it says our version isn't genuine, and the desktop turns black
with "License expired" shown at the bottom right of the screen. I thought this was supposed to work for 180 days? Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,
This issue should be caused due to the Windows Server 2008 R2 Evaluation was not activated within 10 days.
To manually rearm the 10 day activation grace period:
1. Click
Start, and then click Command
Prompt.
2. Type
slmgr.vbs -dli, and then press ENTER to check the current status of your activation period.
3. To reset the activation period, type
slmgr.vbs –rearm, and then press ENTER.
4. Restart the computer.
